ENGINEERING STANDARDS

Crafted with discipline.

Strict tests. Consistent code. Repeatable checks.
Engineering standards for the application and every first-party package.

Engineering dial showing the required 100 percent code and type coverage standard for first-party PHP packages, not a measured build result
Defined requirements.
Repeatable checks.
Consistent standards across first-party packages.
Tests beyond the happy path
Automated PHP tests, architecture checks, and application integration tests. Frontend and browser suites are included where applicable.
BEHAVIOR & INTEGRATION
Strict coverage requirements
First-party PHP package gates require 100% code coverage and 100% type coverage. Coverage is a requirement—not a promise of defect-free software.
PACKAGE QUALITY GATES
Types checked before runtime
PHPStan and Larastan static analysis, alongside TypeScript checks for frontend code, help catch mistakes before they reach your users.
STATIC ANALYSIS
Consistency across the codebase
Pint, Rector, and frontend formatting and lint checks keep code standards explicit, repeatable, and easier to maintain.
CODE STANDARDS
Packages checked independently
Each first-party package has its own complete verification gate. The application also checks how the pieces work together, including frontend and server-rendered builds.

KNOWLEDGE THAT GROWS WITH THE WORK

A brain that builds on
what came before.

Your application shouldn’t have to start from zero with every conversation.
CraftsmanOS brings business context and reviewed memory into the work that comes next.

Illustration of a connected brain with new points of knowledge joining around it

Start with what matters.

Give agents the business information, reference documents, and standing rules that make your application’s work specific—not generic.

Carry useful knowledge forward.

Relevant conversations, active reference material, and approved outputs can contribute to lasting memory. New memories are reviewed before acceptance, giving future work more to draw on.

Keep the knowledge accountable.

Retained knowledge stays connected to its sources and scope. Users can inspect memories, authorized admins can remove them, and reference material can be updated as the business changes.

MORE CONTEXT. LESS STARTING OVER.

A growing body of useful knowledge—not a growing set of permissions.

FROM INTELLIGENCE TO EXECUTION

Don’t just generate answers.
Carry the work through.

Combine AI steps, application logic, and human decisions in a durable workflow.
Give the work a defined path—even when it needs to wait, recover, or ask for help.

ILLUSTRATIVE WORKFLOW · EXPLORE THE STATES

  1. Prepare the proposalA defined AI step, with a structured result
  2. Waiting for approvalReview the specific proposal
  3. Protected actionWaiting · no action taken

A decision, not a blank check.

The workflow waits for the proposal to be reviewed. The protected action has not been authorized yet.

AI has a job. The workflow has a plan.

Give AI steps defined inputs and structured outputs. Combine them with your application’s operations rather than asking one open-ended conversation to manage the entire process.

Pause without losing the thread.

Durable runs retain progress across waits and support recovery. Requests for approval or missing input become part of the workflow—not a reason to start over.

Approve the work that will actually happen.

Approval-required operations are tied to the exact proposal reviewed. Current permissions still apply when the action runs.

Account for what happened.

Recorded effects and reconciliation help distinguish confirmed results from uncertain outcomes. An unclear external response is not permission to repeat a write.

Your business process. Explicit boundaries.
Workflow completion and deliverable publication remain separate decisions.

THE EVERYDAY WORK OF BUILDING SOFTWARE

Build the interface, too.

Your product needs more than agents. Give people useful ways to explore records, enter information, and understand their data—with builders defined in PHP.

LESS TO BUILD BEFORE YOU CAN SHIP

The features around your feature.
Already here.

Chat, voice, notifications, activity history, and global search are part of the foundation. Spend your development time on what makes your product different—not rebuilding the surrounding experience.

Agent chat.
A conversation that goes both ways.

Give users a place to work with agents through text or voice. Conversation history, a persistent chat panel, voice input, and spoken replies bring the interaction into your application.

TYPE A MESSAGESPEAK YOUR REQUESTHEAR THE REPLY

Notifications that keep people informed.

A notification inbox with unread states, categories, and filtering. Give important updates a home instead of building a new notification experience for each feature.

Activity history with context.

Recorded activity can be viewed at the user, workspace, and project level, with filters to narrow the history. Help users understand what happened without piecing it together from conversations.

Global search. Local permissions.

Find accessible projects, documents, conversations, files, and more from one search surface. Your application can contribute its own results while source access rules remain in force.

Voice input and spoken replies require supported browser and provider configuration. Your application’s permissions still govern agent tools and accessible content.

BUILT AROUND THE WHOLE JOB

From the work to the finished result.

Manage what gets made.

The Media Library lets users upload, view, and manage files directly in the UI. Deliverables take outputs through drafts, independent review, and explicit publication.

Extend how work gets done.

Schedule agents and workflows with Automations. Give agents reusable instructions with Skills. Connect tools and systems through inbound and outbound MCP.

What does CraftsmanOS help me build?

CraftsmanOS is a developer foundation for Laravel products with agentic capabilities. It brings together agents, reviewed memory, durable workflows, and shared interfaces so you can spend less time building supporting infrastructure and more time developing your product. It is not a finished product for your customers—you build that.

What do I still build myself?

Your domain models, business logic, integrations, and customer experience. You decide what agents should help with, which processes your product needs, and where human review belongs. CraftsmanOS supplies shared capabilities; you shape them around the problem your software solves.

How is this different from adding a chatbot?

A chat interface is one part of the experience. CraftsmanOS also provides reviewed memory, workflows that combine AI steps with application logic and approvals, and shared features such as notifications, activity history, and search. The goal is to help you build agentic behavior into your product, not just add a conversation window.

What stack will I be working with?

Laravel and PHP on the backend, with React, Inertia, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS for the frontend. CraftsmanOS is for developers working in that ecosystem, with table, form, and chart builders to help deliver the interfaces around their product’s business logic.

Can I build client projects or a SaaS with it?

Yes. Commercial use is included for your own and client projects, including SaaS applications. Single Project covers one project and its development, staging, and production environments; Unlimited Projects covers multiple projects. Both tiers include the same capabilities. You can sell the finished applications you build, but not repackage and redistribute CraftsmanOS itself.

Do I have to renew to keep using it?

No. Your license includes perpetual use of the versions it covers and one year of updates. Renew annually if you want to continue receiving updates. Founder renewal pricing is retained while renewals remain continuous; after a lapse, renewal is available at the then-current regular rate. There is no lifetime-update commitment.
